Goals
The goal was to integrate an advanced passive security solution within an unconventional spatial configuration, where the anti-burglary door serves both as a protective barrier and as an exposed architectural element subject to outdoor conditions. The main challenge was to combine protection, aesthetics and top-level technical performance in an outdoor setting, ensuring visual lightness, accessibility and seamless continuity between interior and exterior spaces.
In one of the sleek high-rises that define the skyline of modern Shenzhen, at the heart of China’s most dynamic urban area, GINKO participated in an architectural project that reinterprets the very concept of passive security in an unexpected way.
On the fourteenth floor of this luxury residential tower, the featured penthouse presents a distinctive entrance: not from the typical corridor or stairwell, but from a large outdoor terrace overlooking the city. To ensure passive protection and aesthetic harmony in such an unconventional configuration, the architects selected INVISIO Pivot, the GINKO anti-burglary door designed to become an elegant and impenetrable mobile wall.
As the true focal point of the entrance, the GINKO security door integrates effortlessly into the architectural language of this futuristic metropolis thanks to its refined solid wood panel with horizontal slats, evoking a dialogue between natural materials – essential in traditional East Asian culture — and the dense urban landscape.
The addition of an electromechanical lock provides further protection and comfort, enabling smooth and secure access.
Thanks to the innovative FritsJurgens pivot system – a concealed, high-performance hinge mechanism – the large panel opens with fluid elegance, further enhancing the user’s daily interaction with the space.
The project was carried out in collaboration with long-term local partner AOSHEN VOLCANO, with whom GINKO has been bringing Italian design and technical excellence to prestigious international settings for years. The result is a security door that is both a passive barrier and a design and architectural statement, designed to reshape the very experience of contemporary living.
INVISIO Pivot proves once again to be the ideal solution for high-end projects that demand maximum protection, essential aesthetics and sheer compositional freedom.
“We were looking for a security solution that didn’t feel like a barrier, but an integral part of the architectural experience. With INVISIO Pivot, we found the perfect balance between lightness, technology and design. It’s a door, but also a symbol of openness toward the city.”

A private villa with a unique and refined style, located in a wonderful location overlooking the French Riviera. To meet the style and security needs of this prestigious residential project, GINKO has opted for the performance of Eva security shutters, adapted to the style of the home thanks to the superior bending to the ad hoc colour at the client’s request.
On the entrance portal of this valuable private home in the province of Venice, you can appreciate the qualities of Invisio, the security door that combines technology, innovation and design in a single product, creating an uncompromising balance.
The project involved an enchanting vintage villa nestled in the Brescia hills, the subject of a complete renovation aimed at a contemporary and refined design. The choice fell on the Ikona security windows, here covered in corten-effect to frame the large windows and on the burglar-proof doors of the Invisio range, combined with the finely restored existing doors.
The project involved a splendid private villa overlooking the French Riviera, where every detail has been managed meticulously.
A modern style but warm and welcoming at the same time, for this private villa in the Treviso area. The building is characterised by an immediately recognisable architectural imprinting, well expressed by the imposing entrance portal with an electronic lock equipped with an external keyboard.
Both for style and functionality, Ikona security fixtures represent an excellent solution for this renovation without masonry in a wonderful penthouse in the Po Valley.
For this project for an apartment in the centre of Milan, the choice fell on the Atena 110 bulletproof windows and Ikona security windows, to create the perfect synergy between high-level design and excellent performance in terms of security.
Officina Rancilio 1926 is a cultural space created to showcase the historical heritage, collection, and archives of Rancilio Coffee Machines.
