IKONA Slide is on display at the temporary exhibition of the ADI Design Museum

After being selected for the ADI Design Index 2022, the innovative line of IKONA Slide sliding French armored windows by GINKO is now included in the prestigious temporary exhibition inspired by the latest edition of the Compasso d’Oro.

Set up at the ADI Design Museum and open to the public until September 15, 2024, the exhibition aims to spread the culture of design by presenting products, objects, innovations and technologies that highlight its virtuous and continually evolving path.

Umberto Cabini, president of the ADI Collezione Compasso d’Oro Foundation, comments in this sense: “The heritage of objects and documents that the ADI Design Museum preserves has a characteristic that other museums do not have: it is not simply a collection of industrial products, but it is the indelible trace of the metamorphoses of quality, from the 1950s to today.”

For GINKO, the achievement of this memorable milestone goes hand in hand with the recent participation, as guests, in the XXVIII Compasso d’Oro ADI 2024 awards ceremony: an event created to celebrate the excellence of Italian design and which, on this occasion, also marked the seventieth anniversary of its first edition, conceived back in 1954 by the legendary architect and designer Gio Ponti.

The awards ceremony was held on June 20 in the stunning setting of the ADI Design Museum in Milan in the presence of central local authorities, including the mayor, Giuseppe Sala, and the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana.

GINKO is exceptionally proud that its IKONA Slide sliding French armored windows were selected for the ADI Design Index 2022 and therefore taken into consideration for the ADI 2024 Compasso d’Oro, a highly prestigious award that has now taken on an institutional value, particularly in emphasizing the excellence of Italian design in the world and its crucial role as a precursor of innovation and development.
